Race for Education Fundraiser Surpasses Goal

Race for Education, the school's largest fundraiser, was held Friday, April 28, and raised $31, 268 for enhanced security and technology at the school.

Archbishop Lori Greets 5th Graders on Field Trip

In a surprise for SJS fifth graders on a religious pilgrimage in Baltimore on Thursday that includes a visit to the Basilica, they were greeted by Archbishop Lori, who took some time to talk with the visiting students.

8th Grader Awarded Knott Scholarship

Congratulations to 8th grader Olivia Wayson who has been awarded a Knott Secondary Scholarship to attend Notre Dame Preparatory School beginning in September. The funds for this four-year, full-tuition scholarship will come from the Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Scholarship Fund.

Lunch & Learn Speaker Series to Host Noted Paleontologist

Dr. Holtz Will Discuss "The Evolution and Extinction of Dinosaurs" on April 7. The middle school speaker series, Lunch & Learn, will host Dr. Thomas Holtz, a research associate at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History and a principal lecturer in Vertebrate Paleobiology at the Department of Geology at the University of Maryland, College Park.

One of the nation's oldest and most prestigious organizations for middle school students, the National Junior Honor Society welcomed eight SJS students as new members in an induction ceremony held at the school last Thursday.

St. Joseph Basketball Tournament Proceeds to Benefit Malone Family Fire Fund

Get ready to cheer the St. Joseph Boys and Girls Basketball Teams - Grades 3-8! The 18th Annual Presidents Day Basketball Tournament, which will be held Friday, February 17-20 in the MPR, is always a fun SJS community event you don't want to miss. This year the proceeds collected at the door will be donated to the Malone Family Fire Fund.
